This is a hand painted original art by Mary Robbins of Oregon. It is called a Driftwood Original. The date she signed this piece was 5-17-83. This particular drawing has been done on a small jug, which is perfect for the old time black powder rifle and powder horn from mountain men days depicted on the side. It has a nice glaze over the painting which enhances and protects. The white line in photo #2 is a reflection and is not actually there.
The condition of this jug is excellent. I find no chips, cracks or crazing. The jug is 6 inches high without the cork and 4 inches across the base. This jug would look great on the cabin mantel or as a shelf sitter for guests and family to admire.
An excellent gift choice for those interested in the history of mountain men.
